Privacy Policy

At AgreeLens, your privacy and document security are our top priorities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and with whom it is shared.

How AgreeLens works

  • AgreeLens analyzes documents to generate insights (risks, obligations, key clauses)
  • Documents are processed temporarily and not stored by AgreeLens by default
  • On paid plans, you may optionally save your analysis results to your account history
  • Account data is stored in Canada. Document processing also involves infrastructure in the United States and globally

How documents are handled

When you upload a document, it is temporarily stored in Canada (Supabase) to enable processing. The document content is sent to Anthropic for AI analysis. Under Anthropic's standard API policy, inputs and outputs may be retained by Anthropic for up to 30 days. Once your analysis is complete, AgreeLens deletes the uploaded file from temporary storage. If you use Save to History, we retain the analysis results and extracted text in your account. We do not retain the original document file.

What we do not do

  • We do not retain your original document files beyond what is needed for processing
  • We do not train AI models on your files
  • We do not share your documents with third parties except as described in the service providers section
  • No human reviews your uploaded files

Note: paid plan users may optionally save analysis results to their history (see Section 4).

What we collect (minimal)

Account information

We collect your email when you create an account.

Usage data (not document content)

  • We collect limited usage data (e.g., file size, processing time, errors)
  • We do not collect or store document content by default

This data is used to improve performance, not to analyze your documents.

Saved history (paid plans, opt-in)

If you enable Save to History, we retain: the analysis results (risks, obligations, key clauses), the text extracted from your document, the filename, file size, province selected, and document type. We do not retain the original document file, whether or not history is enabled.

How analysis works

AgreeLens uses AI to analyze your document and generate structured insights. These insights are based only on the content of the document you upload.

Your documents are not stored, reused, or used to train AI models. If history is enabled on a paid plan, your analysis results and extracted text are saved to your account until you delete them. All processing is done securely and only for the purpose of generating your results.

We collect personal information only for the purposes described in this policy. Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@agreelens.com.

Security and encryption

  • Data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 and above)
  • Secure processing environment
  • Uploaded files stored temporarily in Canada (Supabase) and removed from AgreeLens storage after processing

All document processing is encrypted in transit and handled securely during the analysis process.

Third party services

AgreeLens uses the following third-party service providers. Some processing occurs outside Canada, including in the United States and on global infrastructure.

Supabase

Database, authentication, and temporary file storage. Servers located in Canada (ca-central-1).

Vercel

Application hosting and request processing. Servers located in the United States (US East).

Anthropic

AI model that generates document analysis. Global infrastructure. Inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 30 days under Anthropic's standard API policy. Anthropic does not use your content to train AI models without your permission.

Stripe

Payment processing. AgreeLens does not store your credit card details.

Resend

Transactional email delivery (account confirmations, password resets).

Sentry

Error monitoring and crash reporting. Document content is not intentionally logged in error reports.

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity

Website analytics and session recording on marketing pages only. Not active inside the product area where documents are uploaded and analyzed.

Your control

  • Original documents are never retained, regardless of plan
  • No reuse of data
  • Full privacy maintained
  • Paid users can enable or disable saved analysis history at any time, and can delete saved history from their account

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your account and personal information (such as your name and email). If you have chosen to save analysis results to your history, you may delete them at any time from your account. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@agreelens.com. Note: original documents are not stored by default and therefore cannot be retrieved or deleted. They do not exist on our servers after processing.
